Do you know what the most important feature of your website is? The answer might surprise you.
Today, more than ever a website is no longer a luxury but it’s a necessity. Especially if you are a Real Estate Agent.
In fact, having a website might be more important than having business cards.
Your Real Estate Website is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and you can reach people not only in your town, but people all over the world who may need an agent in your town.
It shows you as a Real Estate expert. You know all the great neighborhoods. You can negotiate a contract like a pro. You have a strong social media following. You have pocket listings, and know who is thinking of selling and can match them with the perfect buyer. Everyone in your area knows you are the go-to person.
But how do you convey that to the world?
Through your website of course.
Now, imagine someone across the country wants to move to your town.
They go to Google and start a search.
One of the top results is a post on your website about the local restaurants with a fresh farm to table menu.
The out-of-towner likes what you wrote and leaves you a comment that they are going to eat at that restaurant when they come to town next week to look at houses – but you don’t have an easy way to contact them because there aren’t any contact forms on your website!
You need to make it as easy as possible for people to contact you.
On every page you should have your phone number prominently displayed. But that’s not enough – when the phone rings, you have to answer it. Everytime.
Also you should have contact forms on every page – in the sidebar, at the bottom of the post, and even scattered throughout the post too.
The goal is to grow your email list with as many names as possible.
Your website is the number one way to do that.
What’s stopping you?
When you provide valuable, free information to people, studies have shown they are more likely to provide personal information to you.
It’s how I grow my list – and it works.
Try it – what do you have to loose?
