Less than a month ago these two got married, and I already did one blog post with the film proofs from their small intimate wedding at Laguna Gloria (view it here), and I just finished the entire gallery for their wedding and wanted to post another bunch of pics. These are the photos from my digital cameras, and if you saw the other post, I think you’ll easily be able to see the color differences.
Of course film is a bit more expensive, but strangely enough it is actually easier and you get the photos faster when I shoot your wedding on film. Why? Instead of just firing off 2000-3000 shots knowing that somewhere ”I got the shot” and then having to spend hours and hours editing through to find them, I slow down, way down, and really focus on what’s about to happen, instead of what is happening now. When your wedding photographer slows down, the entire pace of the day slows down, and you get to enjoy all those little moments longer.
And with film weddings I get to outsource – I ship the exposed film to my favorite local lab, and 3 days later I get back printed proofs for you, as well as scanned images to post on the web. It’s the best of both worlds. And I don’t have to do any more work, which means you get your wedding pictures fast!
Anyway, onto this small wedding. It had tons of special details. The decorations were incredible. The mom did most of the planning, and thought of every little thing – she made her only daughter’s day special. I won’t get into all the details here, but let me just say that about a decade ago, she was in a pretty serious accident, and spent a lot of time in recovery. That she was able to make it to this day was both a joy and a miracle. Enjoy the photos!
The Wedding ceremony at Laguna Gloria is about to start. Here's the groom walking with the minister from the main house, down the path towards the Chapel of Love.
If you are wondering what the Temple of Love at Laguna Gloria looks like with 40 guests, this is it.
It was so hot, that the groom's fingers swelled, and the ring would only go to the first knuckle. But it still counts!
Instead of having a cake, there was a Tiramisu bar - this is the toasting of the Tiramisu - instead of a ckae cutting.
