I belong to you, I’m the Clothes on your back,
Your favorite Shirt, your Brand new Slacks,
From the Collar to the Cuff, from your head to your toes,
You know where I want to go…
Take me to Reid’s,
Tender Loving Care,
for the things you wear,
baby, Please.
Take me to Reids.
We look better together when you take me there – ta da!
Someone had to do it, and I’m embarrassed that it had to be me. It’s catchy, annoying, and rhumes in that strangely southern way. I only see this commercial during the late hours of the night, or wee hours of the morning when I’m especially susceptible to buying foreclosed homes or Sham-Wows, Ginsu Knives, and Treadclimbers.
I hear the opening notes of the jingle, and no matter what I am doing, I am forced to shut the lid on the laptop, and focus all my attention on the TV. For the next 30 seconds I watch in rapt amazement, singing along in my head. For the rest of the day, it’s the song that I can’t get out of my head.

Eric, I couldn’t have said it better. I too find myself in a daze when I hear the jingle on the TV. Resistance is futile.
That’s a pretty snazzy jingle for the local cleaners!
