City Wedding

The other day I got a phone call from a potential client. She told me that she was getting married in San Francisco in June of next year, and we were talking about the usual wedding stuff – I was asking her how the two of them met, how the wedding planning was going, and how she wanted her wedding to feel. I just love hearing how brides approach wedding planning – not that I ever want to be a wedding planner, but I just find the whole process very interesting.

She is asking me the usual questions: how long have I been shooting, how much do I travel for weddings, does she get a CD with the wedding pictures (of course), and then she asked me if I had ever photographed a city wedding.

A city wedding? of course I have. Start with the getting ready shots in the hotel room, then travel to the church for the ceremony, do the formals, and then take the bride and groom out for some wedding portraits, and finally end up at the receptions site for the rest of the night.

I take wedding photos everywhere and anywhere. I often like to say “this isn’t my first rodeo” I’ve been shooting 30 plus weddings a year for a while now, and it never gets old for me. Each is a new opportunity to make memories for my clients, and incorporate a bit of who they are (from the questions I ask during the planning process) into each album.

So, if you are having a city wedding, let me know. I love them as much as valley weddings and country weddings, too!
