Your photos in 30 years

Where will Facebook be? or Flickr?
Will computers have CD-rom drives?
What happens when your hard drive crashes?
Will you be able to read the memory card in your camera?
Will you be able to find camera batteries to even power it on?

But if you have a shoebox full of prints, or even an album of pictures….

Right on, Eric. A few Saturdays ago, I spent the afternoon on my couch rummaging through an old shoebox of prints of snapshots my parents took back in the day. So much more enjoyable than sitting in front of the PC. I shudder to think that in 10 to 15 years, there won’t be software to view / edit the RAW “digital negatives” that I’m shooting now.

In this digital age, it’s ever more important to have a tangible record, whether it’s loose prints in a shoebox, or an album… something that will last.
