Austin Caterer Royal Fig has amazing wedding Appetizers

Royal Fig Open House

Last night was a busy one if you were an event professional in Austin. Not only was the Annual AWEC (Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators) vendor appreciation party last night, but it was also the grand re-opening party for my good friends (and previous clients) Kristen & Dan’s, Austin catering company Royal Fig.  So instead of hopping from one party to another, I made an executive decision, and headed down to Westlake  to their Kitchens.  And man, am I glad I did.

Why?  The Food!

Dan knows how to cook.  Not only does he do high-end catering in Austin, but as he says “I love to to upscale Fajitas, too”.  Now, my regular readers know that I’m a life-long vegetarian, but Dan doesn’t disappoint in that department, either.  Here’s the Menu (with the Veggie items in bold):

  • Beef Carpacchio
  • Trio of Goat Cheese in Endive Cups
  • Braised Short Ribs in Yorkshire Pudding
  • Smoked Parsnip Soup Shooters
  • Tons of Imported and Local Cheeses
  • Beer and Wine to wash it all down
The dessert table was decorated with a 4-tiered wedding cake, tons of bite sized treats, and golden pomanders hanging from the ceiling

These are great pictures Eric! You do such a fabulous job, especially photographing our food. Thanks so much for coming and documenting all of this for us! I’d also like to add that there was the crispy pork belly on the menu too! :)
