Not many photographers give detailed pricing on-line. I’m not sure why that is. As a consumer, I hate going into a store and having to ask how much something costs. I know there is the old saying “If you have to ask, then you can’t afford it” Well, it seems like nobody can afford any wedding photographer, because hardly anyone posts their prices on their website.
Well, I think it should be easy to get pricing on wedding photography. In fact, I’m putting a link to my wedding photography prices right in the nav bar of my Thesis WordPress theme. Yes, I put a password on it, but I’m sharing that with everyone, too. The password to my pricing is EHP (all caps). I do one major thing differently than most wed shooters. I do have different levels of service, but instead of providing different products or times with each package, I offer one exceptional level of coverage for each wedding package. I charge based on your wedding size. If you have more guests, I have to work harder, and so I charge a bit more, depending on the size of your wedding.
But don’t worry, my most affordable package covers the majority of weddings. If you are having a wedding with less than 200 guests, you will fit into the first tier, the most reasonable package. The next step up is 200-300 guests, and if you are having a grand bash with more than 300 friends and family, then I will bring 3 other photographers with me to cover your fantastic event.
Every package includes all day coverage, a CD with your digital negatives, a proofbook with every image printed out, and a 2nd photographer, to make sure you have photos of everything.
Finally, if you are having a small, intimate wedding with just a few people, I also offer hourly rates for select weekends and weekdays.

This seems a little counter intuitive, but I find weddings with fewer guests to be more work.
@Mary – For me smaller weddings are so easy and fun! I love the intimate moments between everyone.
