Yesterday’s wedding at the Austin Club was great. I usually get the photos from the wedding up within 24-hours, but today is Superbowl Sunday (congrats to Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburg team, six time winners of the Vince Lombardi Trophy), and while everything was being backed up and archived, I was watching the game.
It was a real close one, and came down to the last minutes. While I was rooting for The steelers, I sort of felt a little bit of sympathy for the Arizona Cardinals, who have never won the Subperbowl. They put up a great fight, but in the end came up short.
As far as the Super-Bowl commercials, my favorite was the Crystal Ball Doritos commercial that was shown early in the game (the first quarter I think). I love the final line: “Promotion, not in your future” It seems to me that all some companies do is recycle the same stuff over and over. I think in today’s new media world, you have to keep trying new things, and pushing the envelope. So many of the spots seemed to parrot previous year’s ads.

Hi Eric, I just found your site and I’m looking forward to seeing some of your work from the recent wedding at the Austin Club. On a side note, thanks for adding the Doritos Superbowl video! I too thought that one was one of the best commercials during the game. Cheers and I’ll check back soon!
