I’m letting you in on a little secret. I’m a photographer who will give you a disc with all your images, and I’ll let you do whatever you want with the photos. I have my own wedding photos, these pictures are for you. It doesn’t matter if you are hiring me for bridal pictures, trying me out for engagement pictures, or having me shoot your entire wedding.
You see, not every photographer provides you with the digital negatives. I’m not exactly sure why. Today we have the internet, and as soon as a wedding picture is uploaded to the web, there is absolutely no way to control it. And trust me, I’ve seen people try to make 4×6 prints from facebook photos. Let me tell you, it doesn’t come out pretty.
It doesn’t matter if you get an unlimited package, our just simple hourly coverage. I’ll give you all the photos if you are having a local wedding or a destination wedding. Because I’m not really interested in trying to upsell you on stuff after the wedding. If you want a wedding album, that’s great. I can help you, or you can take your pictures and make one yourself.
I consider myself a hired gun – I have the equipment, skill, and experience to make your wedding look and feel amazing. I’m not one of those stuffy photographers who gets all bossy at a wedding. I like to make it fun, upbeat, and exciting (it makes for better pictures). My main interest is in taking pictures. Sure, I have some photoshop skills, and can design an album, but first and foremost, I love to make photographs in my camera.
Of course your total number of photos will vary – smaller weddings generally have fewer images than large blow-out bashes. But rest assured, you will get a lot. Tons of great images of peoples faces, detail shots, formals, and of course all the key moments: first kiss, dance, entrance, and all the other stuff, too.
The only condition, is that since I get the CD to you quickly, I don’t have time to Photoshop all the images. But don’t worry. I make sure they are good shots when I am taking the picture. I keep an eye out on both you, and the background – minimizing distractions like garbage cans, exit signs, light switches, and my personal pet peeve, plastic water bottles. I get it right in the camera, so there isn’t a need to fix it in photoshop.
The wedding images I deliver to you are full size, free from watermarks, color corrected, and ready to go. Of course if you want true archival wedding pictures, I encourage you to purchase a few 8×10′s for your mantle, bedside table, and office. Anything you buy from me gets the full royal treatment – and is then printed on real photographic paper. They cost a few bucks more, but are very much worth it.
